Stabbing outside homeless shelter | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)-One man is in police custody for a stabbing outside a Grand Rapids shelter.
Around 5 p.m. Saturday, two men got into a fight inside Mel Trotter Ministries, located on Commerce Avenue Southwest. When the two were asked to leave, the fight escalated outside, leading to the attack.
One man was taken to a nearby hospital with multiple stab wounds. Police found the suspect a short distance away and arrested him.
