Demolition of homes approved near GVSU downtown | News

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The Grand Rapids planning commission has approved a plan to demolish several residences near Grand Valley State University's downtown campus.

The owner, Jeff Boorsma, wants to demolish seven of his properties on the west side of Seward Avenue and use the land to build high density residental properties.

The plan now must be approved by the Grand Rapids City Commission. Boorsma wants to demolish the homes by the end of the year.
