Zoo funicular cars collide, opening delayed
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A zoo attraction that was supposed to open nearly two months ago is delayed again. The funicular is supposed to take visitors from John Ball Zoo's main area up to the Idema Forest Realm for a birds-eye view of the city.
However, during recent testing, the front car didn't level correctly and hit another car. Both cars will need to be repaired before testing can continue.
It's unclear when the $5 million funicular will open to the public.
