GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a man Friday afternoon on the city's southwest side.

The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. at a home located at 49 Andre Street SW, that's just west of Division Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in a driveway.

Officers identify the victim as Tavon Terell Jackson, 20. He was shot multiple times in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses describe the shooter as a black male, about 5'6'' tall with a skinny build. He ran north through several yards after the shooting. Police used a canine unit to track the man but they were unsuccessful.
