News

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- At least 100 people braved windy and cool weather on Saturday, for the inaugural West Side Walk for Gilda's Club.  The pledge walk highlighted the growing success of the west side community as well as what Gilda's Club has accomplished in Grand Rapids.

They also hosted a block party at their property on Bridge Street after the walk that started at Noon.  WZZM 13's Jennifer Pascua was the emcee for the festivities.

In addition to the first ever walk, Gilda's is teaming up once again the American Cancer Society for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Bra Decorating Event.

That will take place between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 at Gilda's Club Grand Rapids. That is located at 1806 Bridge St. NW. Gilda's invites anyone living with or supporting someone with breast cancer to attend.
