Pedestrian dies from injuries after being hit by car in GR

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- A 53-year-old man has died after being hit by a car while crossing Front Avenue near 6th Street in Grand Rapids.

Police say Lorenzo Blair, from Wyoming, Mich., was crossing the street around 2 p.m. Friday when he was hit. Blair crossed in front of a southbound vehicle. The driver was not speeding and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Blair was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead two days later, on Sunday, Oct. 4.
