West Catholic Athletic Boosters will again be hosting our annual Golf Classic.

This year’s event will take place on Friday June, 3 at the Elks Highlands Golf Course.

The entry fees will be $100 for the 8am start or $125 for the 1pm start.

Over 25 organizations will exhibit, demonstrate and show their wares.

Yes, being green has definitely caught on. Manufacturers, architects, and businesses of all kinds have found ingenious ways to conserve and preserve. But how about every day family households that want to help? What can they do that’s affordable, simple and saves? PARTY FOR THE PLANET at John Ball Zoo is the place to find out! The event will take place on Saturday, April 16, from 10am until 3pm.

Over 25 West. Michigan organizations will be attending PARTY FOR THE PLANET and each will offer something unique.

Ever hung out in a zoo at night with no light? That's what Twilight Sensory Safari is about. On Friday April 8th, from 8:00pm

to 9:30 pm, the John Ball Zoo will conduct a guided tour of the zoo at night to test your senses in the dark. Learn

how animals adapt to these conditions. The program also includes an animal encounter and other activities for chidlren 5 years

old and above. So bring a flashlight and all of your senses for this unique experience.

Blandford Nature Center Community Garden
April 30 - October 29   
Are you interested in growing your own produce in a local, sustainable manner this summer? Blandford has 20 community garden plots remaining on a first come, first served basis. Dimensions are 8'x25', with a $40 fee per plot. This fee includes:
Your garden space, available from April 30 - October 29.
Initial tilling completed by BNC staff prior to April 30.
Access to limited garden tools such as hoes, shovels, and a wheelbarrow.
Combination locked tool shed for storage of tools.

John Ball Zoo’s Summer Discovery Program is a unique, hands-on learning experience for children ages 3 years to those entering 9th grade! Classes are designed for age students will be at the start of the class or for the grade level students will be entering in fall 2011. Whether you choose to attend during the day or overnight, the Summer Discovery Programs at the zoo are both fun and educational.
