Due to flooding at Riverside Park, the Grand Rapids Right to Life Bike & Hike will be held at the DeltaPlex (2500 Turner Ave.) on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Flooding from the Grand River has made paths along Riverside Park unusable, as well as paths along Kent Trails and Johnson Park to the west.

Women's Resource Center

The Women's Resource Center, located at 678 Front Ave. NW, Suite 180 in Grand Rapids, has a mission "to improve women's workplace and economic opportunities".  Women come to the Women's Resource Center for services such as mentoring, resume-writing support, career planning, job search resources and skill-building classes so that they can become independent by improving their employment situation.   They will help any woman who wants to find a job or make a better life for her family.

If you have professional clothing or accessories you would like to donate to a woman in need of working attire, you can make a tax deductible donation to the Working Women's Clothes Closet.   Just bring your donations to the office on Front Ave.

You can contact the Women's Resource Center at (616) 458-5443 or email info@grwrc.org.
