Easter Egg Hunt at John Ball park

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at John Ball park is BACK!!! IF you participated in this event in the past you are well aware of the positive effect it has on all of the families that attend. IF you haven't, we would like to offer you the chance to become involved in the biggest and the BEST Easter event in the city. This function has provided fun and enjoyment to as many as 2000 families in the metro area for free. This past fall we were nominated as one of the Best Non-Profit Events in Grand Rapids. We were up against some other great non-profit organization however, we were award winning and we are THE BEST of THE BEST NON PROFIT ORGANZTION in GRAND RAPIDS!!!

We have attained a rather unique balance with this event. The children chase for candy with others of their own age group. Each "run" is limited not only by age but by number. This concept allows each child to enjoy the thrill of competition, while guaranteeing successful forage. Each child is given a prize egg after his or her "run". These eggs are then traded in for prizes ranging from small gift bags containing candy and small toys to shiny new bicycles. While parents and children wait their turn at the hunt, there are entertained by everyone's favorite spring hero, "The Easter Bunny". The bunny is accompanied by many of his friends. When these mascots mingle with the crowd, not only are little kids awed, but the parents are eager to snap that pictures that will be shared for generations.

This is your opportunity to help many families celebrate Easter in a way that they might not otherwise be able to. The Easter Egg Hunt has a tremendous impact in our community and we need YOUR help. From donations of wrapped candy to spread for the children (approx. 5000 lbs.) to small or large prizes of t-shirts, small toys, and bicycles, we need your help. We encourage items to be marked with your company logo or organization. Remember the Bunny comes April 23 at 10:00 AM! So, please let us know about your contribution before April 18th.

Checks can be made out to John Ball Zoological Society. Donations of other such items can be given to our representatives Bob Wallington and Richard Beduhn. Our representatives will see to it that your donation will be expedited and recognized. Bob can be reached at 616-610 1616 and Richard can be reached at 616-308-9829. If you have any questions please contact Richard, Bob or John Wisniewski the event organizer at 616-458-1883. Thank you in advance for your donations.
