An iconic 80 plus year old burger joint in Walker is in limbo after the holiday weekend death of its owner.  Bud's Burger on Remembrance road just north of Leonard has been closed since the passing of it's owner David Goodwin III on Saturday. Goodwin was working when he collapsed. According to Goodwins' brother two customers tried to administer CPR and with the assistance of medics both groups were unsuccessful. Goowin was 78 years of age and worked daily at the restaurant, "He loved the restaurant and died doing what and where he loved"  stated his younger brother Bob Goodwin. Bob Goodwin also commented on the future of the burger joint. With current staff offering to keep the place open in the interim Bob said "It is up to his(Dave) wife Sue.

The funeral and committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Road NW.
